Our Journey

From a Cambridge tutorial room to offices across Europe and China.

2019
The Founding

Eve and Guillermo Denayer founded Doinel Education while Eve was an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge. By graduation they had logged more than a thousand hours of one-to-one teaching between them, working almost exclusively with Oxbridge applicants.

2021
First-Class

Eve graduates from Cambridge with First-Class Honours and is awarded the Samuel Taylor Scholarship. Doinel begins working with students applying to leading universities across mainland Europe.

Following her MA in Epidemiology at Harvard, Eve is appointed Harvard Teaching Fellow. Doinel expands its scope again, this time to students preparing for the Ivy League and top US institutions.

2025
China

Doinel opens its first office in mainland China, in Shenzhen, followed by Shanghai in 2026. We work directly with partner schools, training centres, and agencies, delivering study-abroad preparation.

The Founding Team

Founders Eve and Guillermo

Doinel Education was founded by Eve and Guillermo with a shared vision to build a stronger, more reliable bridge between China and Europe through education. Combining deep academic expertise with hands-on international experience, they created Doinel to raise the standard of how cross-border education and training programmes are designed, delivered, and experienced.

Their complementary backgrounds bring together strategic leadership, academic excellence, and operational execution. Together, they lead Doinel Education with a long-term perspective, focused on quality, transparency, and building sustainable partnerships.

Step 2

Program Delivery and Management

Comprehensive program management services ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional student experiences.

From Signed Agreement to Seamless Delivery

Once your programme is designed and your partners are secured, we can also assist you in securing exceptional delivery. We can manage every operational dimension of your programme so your team stays focused on strategy, not logistics.

What We Manage

Student & Participant Management

Onboarding, documentation, scheduling, attendance tracking, and ongoing student communication — all systematically managed. No information is ever asked twice; every participant has a maintained file from day one.

Teacher & Provider Coordination

Our teachers follow standardised protocols and pre-designed curricula. We coordinate schedules, monitor delivery, and ensure every session meets quality benchmarks — consistently, across any cohort size.

Quality Assurance & Reporting

Multi-point quality checks throughout delivery — not just at the end. Regular progress reports keep your institution or agency informed without requiring you to chase updates.

Client Communication

Structured communication templates ensure fast, consistent responses to your team and to participants. We bridge language and timezone gaps so nothing falls through the cracks between China and Europe.

Logistics & Administration

Venue coordination, materials, certificates, invoicing, and compliance documentation. We reduce administrative burden dramatically for both your team and your clients.

We process personal data under the following purposes and legal bases under UK GDPR:

  • Responding to enquiries and providing consultations — contract (steps prior to entering a contract)

We share data only with parties that have a clear role in delivering our service, including:

  • Tutors and educational partners involved in delivering services to you
  • Hosting, database and IT infrastructure providers
  • Email and communications providers

Doinel Education operates internationally, with activities in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and parts of Asia (including mainland China and Hong Kong). Your data may be transferred to and processed in these regions. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK to a country that the UK has not deemed “adequate”, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, or another lawful safeguard recognised under UK GDPR. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguard by contacting us.

7. Data retention

  • Website analytics and server logs — up to 12 months

Where a longer period is required by law (for example tax records), we follow that period.

8. Cookies

Our website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, including authentication cookies that keep you signed in to portal areas. These do not require your consent. If we introduce non-essential cookies (such as third-party analytics or marketing), we will only set them after you have opted in via a cookie banner. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.

9. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include access controls, encryption in transit (TLS), restricted administrative access and supplier due diligence. No internet-based system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal data breach that meets the UK GDPR notification threshold, we will report it to the ICO within 72 hours and to affected individuals where required.

10. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data

We provide services to students under 18. Where required, we will obtain consent or involvement from a parent or legal guardian. For children under 13, we will not knowingly collect personal data without verifiable parental consent. The Programme

    What Will Students Achieve?

Six concrete outcomes, each built around the student's chosen subject and target university.

    01
A thorough understanding of how Oxbridge works
The tutorial model, application timeline, and academic expectations — explained clearly and applied to each student's specific subject from day one.
    02
    Subject-specific tutorial skills
Built around each student's chosen subject with an emphasis on critical thinking, independent reasoning, and academic depth beyond the school curriculum.
    03
    Critical analysis & argumentation
The skills to handle unseen questions under pressure — structured arguments, nuanced responses, and the intellectual confidence interviewers are looking for.
    04
    A personalised reading list
Curated recommendations tailored to the student's academic level and target course — building the breadth of knowledge that sets Oxbridge applicants apart.
    05
    Mock interviews with expert feedback
Multiple rounds of realistic practice with detailed written and verbal feedback — so students walk into their real interview having already done it before.
    06
    A Personal Statement roadmap
Suggested next steps and milestones mapped out clearly, with guidance on how to frame academic interests in a way that resonates with Oxbridge admissions tutors.

    Eligibility

    Who Is This For?

Designed for students who are genuinely competitive — not as an introduction, but as serious preparation for Oxbridge specifically.

    Current Year 12 / AP Grade 11
Students in the year before they apply — giving enough time to act on the roadmap before deadlines. IB Year 1 students are also eligible.
    On Track for Top Grades
A minimum of A*A*A at GCSE or an equivalent high-achieving record — IB, AP, or other international qualifications accepted.
Committed to 2+ Hours Per Week
Students willing to engage seriously with independent reading between sessions. This is an intensive programme — results reflect effort.
A note on subject coverage: We work across Sciences, Economics, Humanities, Law, Medicine, and Veterinary Science. Each student is matched with a mentor who was admitted to Oxford or Cambridge in their specific subject.

    What's Included

    The 8-Week Programme

Every session is one-to-one, structured around each student's subject, and delivered by an Oxbridge-educated mentor.

    One-to-One Tutorial Sessions
Weekly 60-minute sessions simulating the Oxbridge tutorial format — challenging, subject-focused, designed to push intellectual boundaries.
    Personal Statement Reviews
Line-by-line guidance on how to communicate academic passion in a way that resonates with Oxbridge admissions tutors.
    Mock Interview Preparation
Multiple practice interviews followed by detailed written and verbal feedback — building confidence before the real thing.

    Group Q&A Session
A live cohort session where students can ask anything about the Oxbridge process — modules, college choice, deferred entry, or gap year strategy.
    Personalised Milestone Plan
A written roadmap at the end — next steps, reading goals, and application milestones tailored to each student's situation.

    Questions

    Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — this is the default. All student-facing communications and progress reports are branded to your school or agency. Doinel operates entirely in the background.
Every mentor was admitted to Oxford or Cambridge in the student's target subject. We match based on subject, target college if specified, and the student's academic profile — not simply on availability.
We cover Sciences, Economics, Humanities, Law, Medicine, Veterinary Science, and most interdisciplinary subjects. If we cannot source an appropriate mentor, we will tell you before any commitment is made.
No. All communication with parents goes through your school or agency. We provide progress reports and session summaries to your team, who then share them with families as they see fit.
Each cohort is capped at 20 students to ensure we can source appropriate mentors and maintain quality. We recommend enquiring early if you anticipate high interest.
We recommend at least six weeks of lead time to source mentors, confirm student profiles, and schedule sessions. Book a call to discuss your specific timeline.
